The ‘Gurus’ are back on World Televison Day with episode 4 of Technology Unplugged, in this fun and light-hearted session, they look at how we have watched and consumed television since its invention by John Logie Baird in 1925, all the way up to modern day streaming services such as Netflix, Sky Now and Apple TV.
World Television Day commemorates the date on which the first World Television Forum was held in 1996, celebrated every year to renew governments, businesses, and individuals’ commitments to support the development of television. World Television Day was proclaimed by the United Nations in December 1996 and is celebrated annually.
This is episode 4 in the series and the podcast is co-hosted by the #TimeSavingGurus, James Baker and Nathan Wright and will occasionally involve guest subject matter experts, or just guests that we want to invite to have a bit of fun. The show is recorded locally in Jersey and through a partnership with the Digital Jersey Academy.
In our next episode, the ‘Gurus’ will celebrate the ‘International Day of Banks’, which will drop on Friday 4th December, they will look at how technology is being used to modernise banking, and the issues that banks and financial services have had to deal with during this pandemic, this is sure to be an educational and fun episode.
